Venn Street Market
Founded by Marcus, Venn Street Market is Clapham's weekly food and producers' market: a Saturday institution of local growers, bakers, street food and makers. Marcus worked with local councillors and Lambeth Council to secure a road closure and full pedestrianisation, launching the market on a street that was largely boarded up at the time. Venn Street is now one of Clapham's busiest, by day and by night. It showed how a single closed street can become the social heart of a neighbourhood, and it established the trader-first, community-rooted approach to market building that runs through everything Wild Trade does.
